Spicy Chicken Quesadilla

What is a better way to stuff friends than be feeding them spicy chicken Quesadillas? I guess I could take notes from the movie Seven and tie my friend up and then stuff her until she dies but what's the fun in that? Stuff 'em good first and then let the fun begin.....Here are the steps to ensure your friends will be fully filled to the point of almost death once they're done eating your food.
Forbid them from eating all day. Should they argue with you, tranquilize them. I'm sure you can go to a hunting equipment shop and find the appropriate items needed to follow through with this plan. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP, even if it gets you in jail. You want your friend to be full, right? Just trust me on this one, okay?

White Chocolate Mango Cheesecake

Yesterday, after a long day of work, I had this uncontrollable urge to eat something alive. Much like Oh Dae-Su in Oldboy who was released after 15 years of imprisonment and demanded to eat a live octopus, I wanted the same. It was as though my 8 hour shift had been extended to 8 years and I was confined to my little work space that I was becoming desperate to escape from. As soon as I returned home, I went on my hunt to find something to eat, alive. Much to my luck, I had spotted the rare, delicious, raw, MAGICAL WHITE RABBIT.
This is no ordinary rabbit my friends. When your teeth sink into this mystical creature, it is as though your whole body will explode from delight. The rabbit could see the hunger in my eyes, knowing well how delicious it tasted to us humans and attempted to escape.
He was no match for me but I will say the poor critter put up a tough fight. He hopped and hopped all over my house, barely escaping from my hands. However, he accidently hopped into my cutting board and I didn't dare miss this opportunity to CUT HIS HEAD OFF *cue psycho music*

Banana Yogurt Smoothie and Curry Chicken Sandwiches

You know the feeling when you know that the person who cooks all the food for you is going to be gone for a day or two and all you can think about is "WHAT AM I GONNA EAT MOM, I'M GONNA STARVE, AREN'T I?!!" Followed by 5 billion tears and the whole "HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO ME." It's like, who cares where you go, just feed me while you're gone mom.
In my defense, I'm bit of a spoiled brat who cooks to relieve stress more than anything. When it comes to cooking for a large group of people, I get way to anxious to enjoy myself. It begins to feel more like a job rather than being one of my favorite hobbies.

Spicy Korean Style Chicken Wings

Sorry for all the reposts of this recipe, blogger totally messed up and posted only half of it last time!
If there is one thing I love aside from pooh bear, boys, video games, friends, family, toy story, totoro and reading, it's a simple, quick and delicious recipe.
My youngest brother is bit of a chicken wings fanatic. Seeing how it's hard to find a variety of halal chicken wings in restaurants, my brother asked me to make spicy asian style chicken wings at home.

Spring Biscotti

We're finally getting April showers.....in May. I shouldn't complain too much, it could be snowing after all. Or hailing. Or we could be invaded by Aliens. Oh! Even worse, Creed could be releasing a new album. There are worse things in this world than rains showers in May so I'll quit my complaining.
Growing up between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, I was introduced to the wonderful thing known as rusk. I'm not kidding you that even till this day, my relatives always bring me a bag of Pakistani rusks every opportunity they get because I'm still crazy about them.
What is better than coming home after a long day of work and having some chai with rusks? Maybe seeing Henry Cavill naked but even that is almost secondary to the comforts of chai and rusks (please note the word almost).

Chilli Mango Chicken

Will this weather ever cooperate with me? When I want to cook something hot, it's too hot outside and when I want to cook something cold, it's too cold outside. I just can't seem to win. I swear it's a curse when you want to cook something according to the weather.
I mentioned on my personal blog that I'll be visiting Pakistan this summer. The last time I went there with my dad, we made a stop in Dubai for 12 hours. After walking around the city for a bit, we decided to pig out and be adventurous and try eating something different.
I can't remember the name of the restaurant now but the menu seemed so tropical. I can't remember what my dad had but I ordered mango chicken. Fruits and meat? As a person who eats mainly Pakistani food, this combination seemed so foreign to me.

Chicken Pho

Sometimes, it's just not fair being a muslim living in Canada. It's so hard to come by halal food that isn't catered to Arabs, Pakistanis, Indians, and basically, half of the middle eastern population. Finding a halal chinese place alone is a feat in itself. Growing up in this environment, I've been exposed to so many different variety of foods but that doesn't mean I get to eat any of it, so yes, I'm a little bitter.
One of the things I've always wanted to try but never can have in restaurants is pho. I even made it a point to try to find some in Pakistan the last time I was there but it seems like vietnamese food isn't that popular there. There were lots and lots of chinese places though. You probably get more westernized chinese food in Pakistan than you would in Canada so I guess I had to much hopes for vietnamese food. A girl can dream right?
